motorcycle helmet airbagIt was just a matter of time and the advancement of technology but we now have a motorcycle helmet company from Spain developing and soon putting on the market an airbag for motorcycle helmets. It is going to be interesting to see how this new safety technology develops and is integrated into our motorcycle helmets. Honda Goldwing owners have had an airbag on their Goldwings for a few years now and I would imagine more motorcycle manufacturers will be adding this safety feature to their flagship models in the future. Are they really safe or do they just increase the riders feeling of safety? Who knows. Guess you'll have to ask a Goldwing rider who has had an accident where the airbag deployed to find that one out. But I do like the idea of a motorcycle helmet airbag safety system. If properly designed and non obtrusive or alot of additional weight added to the riders motorcycle helmet I believe this will become popular.
