My Friend told me the rider of this bike did not have a good helmet and got pretty hurt.
I have a little scooter and I am looking into cheap bike helmets. Indiana doesn't require helmets so I am not sure if I should. Some argue that helmets actually cause crashes and others say that's ridiculous. I have been looking for cheap bike helmets because I don't want to spend a fortune on something that I am not sure I want or need. On the other hand, if I am going to buy a helmet at all, are cheap bike helmets a good idea? Do I want a helmet that is supposed to save my life, cutting corners? That is a tough one. With this argument, I should spend more on the helmet than the bike. I found some sites that offer advice on this subject. I feel better now that I visited helmets.org. They answered some of my questions about cheap bike helmets and how safe they are. Apparently and not surprising, there are federal standards. This site offers some guidelines in how to pick-out a good helmet and what you should be looking for.
