Excellent video covering important aspects of what to look for when purchasing motocross gear such as boots, kneepads, body armor, googles and a helmet. The motocross boots he is reviewing are made by Alpinestars and these are excellent motocross, enduro or trail riding motorcycle boots. I have owned Alpinestars motocross boots before and they were very comfortable plus offed excellent foot and ankle protection and support. A quality pair of kneepads or knee braces protect your shins and knees. Other good choices for MX boots are Thor and Fox Racing boots.  If you have ever been following another motocross rider and his rear tire trows up a rock that hits you on the shin or knee you already know how painful this can be! The kneepads protect you from this plus the knee braces will support the knees and go a long way in helping prevent a broken kneecap, leg or hyper-extended knee if you and your motocross bike should part company during a race or practice.

A comfortable, well fitting set of motocross googles is a no brainer. On a dusty or muddy MX track or even just out trail riding you absolutely must protect your eyes so always have a good pair of MX goggles over your peeps. Don't take chances with your eyesight. If you wear eye glasses you have several choices of many good brand's of MX googles made to fit over you glasses and provide you with comfort and protection. The last item covered in this video is a motocross helmet. This is another no brainer. Many MX riders own at least two or three helmets and a quality, well fitting helmet is THE most important single piece of safety gear and motorcycle rider should be wearing. The helmets made specifically for motocross and dirt bike racing or trail riding are well ventilated, constructed from quality impact resistant materials and offer chin protection in addition to keeping your brains inside your head. These helmets are also very nicely designed with colorful and flashy graphics. When selecting a motocross helmet look at the over-all construction, the fit and finish of the padding, chin-strap, and ability to see out of the helmet well. As for size and fit go with a motocross helmet that is a snug fit but not to tight. You definitely do not want a MX helmet that fits your head loosely. A loose fitting helmet is not only uncomfortable but it is dangerous as it offers little head and neck support in the event of a crash.
