stand
Every once in a while something comes along that makes you ask the question "how could I have ever lived without one of these?" Simplicity is the best for most things and this is one idea I cannot believe has not been used for many years. Generally something like the automobile or air conditioner comes to mind. We found a new one to add to the list, Risk Racing's RR1 Lift Stand. Getting your motorcycle, no matter if it is a pro motocross bike or just your trail riding motorcycle, onto the stand in the pits or in your garage has never been easier. You simply push or ride the bike onto the lowered lift. As the front tire touches the front plate, the lift rises to the bottom of the motorcycle frame. Step on the foot pedal and your bike will rise effortlessly into a secure position. Done! That's it. Walk away and get a drink of water. It's easier than having someone else do it for you!
I personally battle every time I come into the pits after a hard mx ride. It's probably great entertainment watching me try to lift my motocross beast onto my conventional stand. I hate using traditional stands where you have to lift the back end of the motorcycle up and battle to get the fricken thing to balance. Nothing gets me into a crappy mood faster! To avoid this I usually just lean the bike against the truck. Stands with a foot lift are an improvement but still you have to hang onto the bike with one hand while you fish around the ground for the stand. Then you have to slide it under your mx bike. Not always easy on grass.
Getting the bike down off the RR1 lift is just as simple as getting it on, just kick the release with the heal of your boot and roll the bike off. Weighing only 23lbs, the RR1 Motocross Lift is lightweight, portable and stable in the pits. Each lift comes with a locking pin and is lockable in the up and down position for ease of transport and safety. The RR1 lifts both tires completely off the ground. Front and rear tires, and suspension can be serviced while on the lift. The framework is made of high-strength, powder-coated steel and is virtually bombproof. It isn't cheap but man it will save you some hassle!
